Gunner Gillespie

My life has been touched by a little boy I never met. Gunner Gillespie was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor about a year ago. I found his Caringbridge site (www.caringbridge.org/visit/gunnergillespie) through another child's site I had been following. Immediately I felt a connection through his mother's writings. Her strenght in the Lord were portrayed through every posts. She was not afraid to express her anger or doubts, but also just as ready to share the praise and blessings that had been recieved.

On Thursday, Gunner passed away. My words will not do justice, so go to his site and read his mother's entry (dated Friday 10/23). When I look at my troubles in life, I have to remember this little boy and what he went through during his time on earth. My troubles and struggles are basically nothing compared to what Gunner faced. My heart aches and soul is crying knowing this family has lost their child. This little boy taught me so much in the short time he was on this earth.

God Bless the Gillespies.
